The Himcycling Association (CFI affiliated body of HP) is calling on all mountain bikers to showcase their speed, skill, and technical endurance! The official state selection trials to form the Himachal Pradesh State Cycling Team are scheduled for September 5, 2026. Selected riders will earn the honor of representing HP at the 23rd Senior, Junior & Sub Junior National Mountain Bike (MTB) Cycling Championships, which will take place in Mahendragiri, Odisha from October 1 to October 4, 2026. Trials will be conducted by Himcycling Association with its affiliated unit LSCA at Keylong, Dist: Lahaul & Spiti. Selections will cover both Men's and Women's divisions across five age categories, strictly adhering to Cycling Federation of India (CFI) national entry limits:

Elite (19+ yrs | Born 2007 & before): Men & Women
Under-23 (Born 2004–2007): Men & Women (Includes the newly introduced XCO U-23 Women event)
Junior (17–18 yrs | Born 2008–2009): Men & Women
Sub-Junior (15–16 yrs | Born 2010–2011): Men & Women
Youth (14 yrs & below | Born 2012–2014): Men & Women

Featured Disciplines

Riders will be evaluated across key race formats, including Cross-Country Time Trial (XCT), Cross-Country Mass Start / Olympic (XCO), Cross-Country Eliminator (XCE), and Downhill (Demonstration). Top candidates will also form state teams for the Cross-Country Team Relay (XCR) categories.

Anti-Doping Policy: Strict compliance with NADA guidelines is mandatory. Dope testing will be carried out at random by NADA officials.

National Championship Hospitality: Boarding and lodging for the HP state squad in Odisha will be provided from September 29 check-in through October 5 afternoon check-out.
